Games
Rust, ARK and other games
Steam games, wipes, plugins and ports.
Rust, ARK, Palworld, Valheim, CS2, Project Zomboid, 7 Days to Die, Satisfactory, Enshrouded, V Rising, DayZ, Conan Exiles, Arma Reforger, Unturned, Garry's Mod, Terraria and others all run on the same panel, with game-specific settings in Settings.
#First start
Most of these games download their server files from Steam during the install, and generate a world on the first start. Large games (ARK, CS2) can take several minutes. Watch the console; the server is ready when it says so (for example "Server startup complete").
#Ports
The ports a game needs, like query and RCON, are given to the server as a block and configured automatically. Players only need the main address from the Overview tab.
#Passwords
Admin and RCON passwords are generated at install and shown in Settings. Change the server password, if the game has one, there as well.
#Rust
- Plugins: set the framework to Oxide (uMod) or Carbon in Settings and restart. The Plugins tab then searches uMod and installs plugins in one click.
- Wipes: the Wipe tab wipes the map, the map and blueprints, or everything, and can pick a new map seed. Schedule the weekly wipe with a schedule template.
#Players
For games that report it, the Players tab shows who's online. Kick and ban with the game's own console or an admin plugin; the tab tells you how for each game.
#Steam tokens
Some games want a Game Server Login Token (GSLT) so the server is listed publicly, for example CS2. Create one at steamcommunity.com/dev/managegameservers and enter it at checkout or in Settings.
#Memory
Plans are sized for each game. Some games use more memory as the world grows or more players join; if the server restarts on its own with an out-of-memory message, upgrade the plan.
