Server panel
Console and power
Start, stop and restart your server, and use the live console.
The Overview tab is your server's home: power buttons, the live console and resource graphs.
#Power buttons
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Start | Starts the server. |
| Restart | Stops the server cleanly, then starts it again. |
| Stop | Sends the game's own stop command so it can save the world, then shuts down. |
| Kill | Appears while a server is stopping. Ends it immediately, without saving. Use it only if Stop hangs. |
Some games take a long time to save (ARK, Rust, 7 Days to Die). Stop waits up to 10 minutes before forcing the server off, and Kill is available the whole time.
#Status
A server is Installing, Starting, Running, Stopping or Offline. If the server crashes or runs out of memory, it's restarted automatically. If it crashes again within a minute, it stays off and the console says why, so it doesn't loop forever.
#The console
The console shows the server's output live. Type a command at the bottom and press Enter; use the ↑ and ↓ keys to go through commands you sent before. Commands are sent as if typed on the server, so for Minecraft write say hello, not /say hello.
Very chatty servers are limited to 250 lines per second; the console tells you when lines were skipped.
#Resources
The Resources and Usage cards show CPU, memory and, for games that report it, players, for the last few minutes. CPU is shown as a share of your plan, so 100% means the server uses everything the plan gives it.
A server near 100% memory all the time will start crashing. See Troubleshooting for what to do.
