Server panel
File manager
Edit, upload, download and archive files in the browser.
The Files tab lets you manage your server's files without installing anything.
#Browsing and editing
- Click folders to open them; the path at the top takes you back.
- Click a text file to open it in the editor. Save with Ctrl+S. Files up to 4 MB can be edited in the browser.
- Create files and folders, rename, move and delete, one at a time or several selected together.
If you leave the editor with unsaved changes, the panel asks before throwing them away.
#Uploading and downloading
- Upload: click Upload or drag files onto the page. Each file can be up to 1 GB, and you see the progress as it goes.
- Download: from a file's menu.
- Download from a link: paste a URL (for example a plugin's download link) and the server fetches it directly, which is much faster than downloading and re-uploading it yourself.
Uploads and downloads go straight between your browser and the machine your server runs on, so big files don't slow anything else down.
#Archives
Select files and choose Archive to pack them into one file, handy before downloading a whole world. Unarchive unpacks .zip, .tar.gz and similar archives into the current folder.
#Tips
- For many files or very large folders, SFTP is faster and can resume interrupted transfers.
- The server can't write more than your plan's disk allows. When the disk is full, uploads and the server itself stop writing.
- Stop the server before replacing its world, so it doesn't save over your changes when it shuts down.
