Getting started

Your first server

Pick a game and plan, pay, and have a server running in minutes.

From choosing a game to a running server usually takes a few minutes, most of it waiting for the crypto payment to confirm.

#1. Pick a game and plan

Open rackvane.com/games, choose your game and click Order now on a plan. Plans differ in memory (RAM), CPU, disk, MySQL databases and backups. If you're unsure, the plan marked Most popular fits most groups of friends, and you can upgrade later without losing anything.

If you aren't signed in yet, you'll be asked to sign in or create an account first. You come straight back to checkout afterwards.

#2. Configure it

Checkout asks for a few things:

  • Location: pick the one closest to your players for the lowest ping. A location that's greyed out is full for this plan right now.
  • Software and version (Minecraft and some other games): for example Paper, Fabric or Forge, and the game version. You can change this later.
  • Name: shown in your dashboard. Some games also use it as the server name in the browser list.
  • Game-specific settings, like a FiveM license key or a Steam token, when the game needs one.

For Minecraft you also accept the Minecraft EULA here.

#3. Pay

Continue to payment creates an invoice and opens the crypto checkout. Choose a coin, send the exact amount, and keep the page open until it confirms. See Paying with crypto for details.

#4. Wait for the install

Once the payment confirms, the server is created and installed automatically. In the dashboard it shows Installing, then Starting, then Running. Large games like ARK or CS2 can take several minutes to download the first time.

If a paid server doesn't appear within 15 minutes, open a ticket with your invoice number. The payment is recorded, so nothing is lost.

Next: Connect to your server.
